Portugal: Sao Miguel: Day Four
Today we didn’t do much. But even though we did go on a hike through the forest. 🌳 mountains, woods, plants, trees. That’s what we see. It lead up to a waterfall, very breezy and very cool. We continued up the trail, when, suddenly, the sky turned dark. Everybody gave each other a look that said: it’s-about-to-storm-and-we-need-to-leave. So, causally, we walked down. BOOM 💥. Was that thunder? 🤷 run. Running down the steep path almost slipping off into the abyss of your last breath. The trees were having mercy on us, that’s for sure, as not much rain was coming down onto our heads, as, the trees were providing shade. Then, skiiiiidddddddddd….. into the parking lot. Running against wind, rain, and certain broken bones was a true adventure that not someone of faint heart could achieve. This was not ordinary. This was out of it.
Check back every day for new updates!
