Paris: Day Two
We went to a bakery called Angelina’s on the way to the louvre, the most famous museum in the world! They had yummy desserts and pastry’s! There were too many to choose from! Each dessert was around 10€ when we went. That’s around 12$ USD. These are some of the most beautiful, and tasty pastry’s I’ve ever tried. Here were my personal favorites:
Caramel Mont Blanc: they are famous for Mont Blanc here. A delicious meringue is topped with dollop of cream. The cream is covered in a chocolate like noodle. The caramel version has caramel on the very bottom. It was so good. I would recommend it. It was very creamy and caramel flavored. It was the best dessert I’ve ever tried. I would say it’s an S tier dessert.
Millefille: a puff pastry with cream. This pastry is very good. Layers of caramelized pastry are held together with a decent amount of cream. Topped with more cream and a chocolate shape. This was very good and light and fluffy. I rate this an A+ tier. Very good. Another one you should try if you go to Angelina’s!
The Puff pastry was sure a winner, along with the Mont Blanc.
Next we headed over to the louvre, home of the Mona Lisa! As we walked over, I looked at the View, a pyramid shaped glass structure, the entrance to the louvre! Inside was huge! Over 35,000 works of art fit inside a 600,000 square foot museum! The first stop was the Mona Lisa, in room number 711. it was not very crowded. I expected a long line to see it but there was not a line at all. Just a room full of people! In the center, lies a small painting, The Mona Lisa! The Mona Lisa has a very high security system. If you cross the area you are supposed to stay behind, the Mona Lisa drops into the ground and the wall closes up!
Behind you, if you turn around, is the painting of the wedding in Cana. When you take a photo of this painting, the people in front of it kind off fuse into the painting, making a cool effect.!
There were many other works of arts at the Louvre! I captured a few more! I also took a photo of the view of the garden outside of the louvre!
After the louvre, we went to a sandwich place called Cosí. They had very good sandwiches and we had some terimisu for dessert!
Then we went to a garden with statues, (And viral green chairs!) before heading back to our AirBNB. Make sure to check often for new installations and info. Ask questions! Stay tuned for updates. Day two, 12/2/26
